Interview with Nida Yasir: The actress/model was present in Nida Yasir’s show Shan-e-suhoor where they were having candid conversations about life, the industry and beginnings. At this show, talking about her family history, Eshal opened up about the abuse she has gone through in her childhood, where her former step-father tried to rape her.
Family History: The model opened up about how her biological father passed away when she was really young, which led to her mother remarrying soon in order to support her children. She then revealed, that her step-father turned out to be a viscous predator, who attempted to rape her over four times.
The anchor person who was candidly asking questions was shocked at this revelation, and apologized profusely to the actor for asking her about the past as she had no idea something like this had happened.

The model further stated that she was very young when this had happened so she was still trying to make sense of the situation. However after the 3rd or 4th attempt, she went to her mother directly and thought enough was enough. She also revealed that her sister aided her in this, and this was the eventual reason for her mother’s divorce. She says that her mother never remarried after this incident.
Child abuse in families: This example is one of many of the prevalence of child abuse and female sexual abuse against women from internal family members and how its not been talked about in public spaces.
