210 year old biggest beer fest in the world has been cancelled

Bavaria has cancelled the 210 year old Oktoberfest in order to curb the spread of the pandemic.

Bavaria’s leaders have cancelled the world’s biggest beer festival due to fears that it could become a “breeding ground” for Covid-19. Oktoberfest The 210-year-old festival attracts over 6 million visitors annually and is a highlight in the German calendar. The festival takes place in the Bavarian capital, Munich. The premier of Bavaria, Markus Söder said, “Living with coronavirus means living carefully. As long as there is no vaccination, we need to be very sensible. We are in mutual agreement that the risk is quite simply too high … compromises will not help.” This will also take a hefty financial toll on all the business that were involved in the arrangement of the renowned festival.
