Coronavirus outbreak forces India to suspend all tourist visas

To contain the spread of coronavirus, India has suspended all the tourist visas till April 15, after the total tally of cases has reached 60 in the country. Its government has said that all the travelers, including Indian nationals, will be quarantined for 14 days, who are returning from the seven virus-hit countries. The seven virus-hit countries are China, Italy, Iran, Spain, South Korea, France and Germany. Diplomatic visas, visas for international organizations and visas for employment and projects are exempted from this new rule. Indians have been advised against non-essential foreign travel. Visa-free travel to Overseas Citizenship of Indian card holders has also been suspended by the Indian government.
