One student has been killed and several others injured after a clash between two student groups. Initial reports suggested one of the two groups planned an event at International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) while the other group opposed it. According to initial police reports the brawl between the two groups started in the evening; one group attacked the members of other group. This resulted in a major fight later that night in which colleagues of the injured group attacked the first group. A student with multiple bullet wounds was taken to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) where he scummed to his injuries. Several other students have been injured. According to the police report guns were used during the clash. Police made it to the crime scene soon after the incident took place accompanied by a prison van, water cannon vehicle and anti-riot unit to control the situation.
