The man who allegedly killed his 13 year old neighbour after attempting to sexually abuse her and hid her body in a gunny bag has confessed and been arrested for his crimes.
Police confirmed on Tuesday that the body was found in a gunny bag near the Jhang Sufi Morr region. The family of the victim claimed she had been sexually abused before her death. According to Jhang police, the suspect confessed that he had murdered the young girl because of her attempts at resisting rape. At a press conference, the district police officer for Jhang confirmed the crime and added that a team he had set up under the superintendent of police for investigation had ordered the arrest after evidence from from CCTV footage, geo-fencing and the crime scene itself. He added that the suspect confessed to his crimes during questioning. The DPO also mentioned that the suspect is the deceased’s neighbour and was as dryer by profession. Jhang police last week said that the young girl left her home in the morning to go to school but did not return that day. Within a few hours, her body was found inside a gunny bag.
