Lahore Qalandars lost their first two matches of HBL PSL 2020 and the Twitteratis were not coming slow!

Lahore Qalandars have a record of losing the most games in the previous four editions of HBL PSL and finishing off at the bottom of the points table. They have begun their 2020 campaign no different and lost their first two contests of the tournament, that too on their home soil, i.e. Gaddafi Stadium Lahore. Qalandars faced Multan Sultans in the first match, when Sultans easily chased down the low target posted by them. However, their second match was a nail-biting thriller against Islamabad United. Qalandars almost won that game and we hoped that they would break the jinx this time, but ended up losing it just by 1 wicket. Consequently, after completion of the first leg, Lahore Qalandars lay at the bottom of the points table, with 0 points and -1.028 net run-rate. Pakistanis took to Twitter and did what they do best, i.e. making memes. Twitteratis posted hundreds of tweets trolling Lahore Qalandars, during both their matches, some of which we present to you below:

How could they forget the Qalandars team owner, Fawad Rana?

Ooops….

Time to leave the planet!!

Wait! What???

Nothing could describe the thriller against United this much accurately

Qalandars need such a rescue!!

Fans think Hafeez (98 not-out) & Shaheen Afridi (4 wickets for 18 runs) should not be in Lahore Qalandars…

We all feel sorry for Mr. Rana…

We hope that you enjoyed those memes but let’s also not forget the contributions made by Lahore Qalandars management and owner Fawad Rana into Pakistan cricket. The way they conduct player development programs as well as bring the best of local talent out deserves our appreciation. Fakhar Zaman and Shaheen Shah Afridi, both are their product. We hope that Qalandars bounce back into the tournament and move up the points table. More from ProperGaanda: How does the PSL work financially?
