That Is How Much I Love You

He poured his heart out,
Waiting, to be loved.
He stood in the shadows,
Waiting, so she could come.

Struggling with the truth he couldn’t see,
Wanting the dream to drown out reality.

It’s been a long time , he said,
Feels like years almost,
Since I was last at my peak.

Alley of The Memories Palette by Leonid Afremov

Her arms had always felt like home,
Her words had healed all his wounds.

But when he called, she never spoke,
He waited, still she never showed.
When he told her, ‘ I miss you’
She said everything,
But never said ‘ me too’ .

This time he thought he knew.
But he promised her one thing,

Whatever happens, I wish you never go through what I did,

Because that is how much I love you.
