It is being reported that a group of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) members allegedly attacked a Shia procession held to mark Youm-e-Ali outside an Imambargah in Karachi’s Liaquatabad area on Thursday night. Journalist Fawad Hasan shared a video on Twitter, saying that TLP ‘goons’ attacked the Imam Bara located in Liaquatabad, Karachi ahead of Youm-e-Ali that is being observed today.

Is this true? Comments under this twitter post claim that the video is of another incident that took place when initially some men belonging to Shia community attacked the bike riders and their female family members with sticks.
Promised rallies against Shia procession On Thursday, a member of Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamat (ASWJ) Toofan Khokhar warned that if Shia community takes out processions to mark Youm-e-Ali on 21st Ramzan, the ASWJ will also proceed to organise rallies throughout Pakistan on the same day regardless of coronavirus restrictions in the country, according to Naya Daur.
