What happened: In what has been termed a rare development, a 28-year-old resident of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hangu region has approached the local police station, “asking police officers to instruct his father to get him married.” The 28-year-old KP youth has further claimed, “all my efforts to tie the knot have been unfruitful.” Details: The youth was identified as Mehmoodullah and urged the District Police Officer of Hangu to resolve his issue. ExpressTribune quotes, “the youth told the law enforcement that he wanted to get married to avoid committing a sin in such times of immodesty, but for how long?” Mehmoodullah further claimed, “my parents don’t seem to have any concerns and they are not taking please seriously.” More: However, later, Mehmoodullah’s father was summoned by the police, who said, “My son is an irresponsible person and marrying him off would mean putting someone’s daughter in trouble.” Whereas, the police officer DSP, Asif Khan, is quoted as, “If the son shows improvement and becomes responsible within a month if he showed some responsibility.”
