Azam-Sarfaraz duo win another game for Gladiators, in spite of Karachi’s attacking fielding!

In match 6 of HBL PSL 2020 between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators, Karachi won the toss & opted to bat first. They could not score big, this time round, as Sharjeel got out at just 6 runs having faced 12 balls, followed by their biggest hope, Babar who was back to pavillion at just 26 runs, hitting 5 fours. After losing their contest against Zalmi, the Gladiators made a strong comeback in the form of their fierce bowling attack. The Karachi batting line-up collapsed and none of their batsmen could touch thirties. Captain Imad Wasim also failed to continue his form and was run-out at 8 runs. However the tail-enders hit a few boundaries, resulting in a total of 156 runs on board, at the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. M. Hasnain sent 3 batsmen home, whereas Mills got 2. Sohail Khan proved the most economic bolwer from Quetta’s side, with a 6.0 economy. While chasing down 157, Gladiators faced some tight bowling by the Kings. However after the fall of 3 big wickets, Sarfaraz built up the momentum in a much-needed partnership with Azam Khan. Azam was run-out after playing a knock of 46 runs off 30 balls, having hit 4 boundaries and 2 sixes. Quetta fans got to witness a captain’s innings by Sarfaraz Ahmed who remained not-out at 37 off 28. Anwar Ali hit a huge six and won the game for his side, with 1 over remaining. Azam Khan was declared Man of the Match for his crucial contribution in Quetta’s victory.
