Banned in Pakistan: Yasir Hussain bags Best Actor award for Javed Iqbal at UK Asian Film Festival 

What happened: The Pakistani actor Yasir Hussain’s film  Javed Iqbal  was banned in the country by the censor board, but it premiered in the UK and different cinemas in London, and Yasir Hussain bagged the best actor award for his film at the UK Asian Film Festival. @yasir.hussain131’s film  Javed Iqbal: The Untold Story of a Serial Killer  was banned in Pakistan, and he played the leading role in the crime thriller movie, whose director was Abu Aleeha.  Details: Not only Yasir but Abu Aleeha also bagged the award for the  Best Director.  During his speech at the award-winning ceremony, Yasir said,  “It is now high time that we should talk about mental health and these kinds of scripts.”  While expressing gratitude, Yasir said,  “Thank you very much, UK Asian Film Festival… I would like to thank producer Javed Ahmed, Abu Aleeha the writer and director of the film.”
