After the much-anticipated video of BTS’ “Butter” was released on Youtube today, it immediately took the world by a storm as it smashed the Youtube Premiere Record with an estimated 3.89 million concurrent views.

What Happened: The teaser of the song was dropped earlier this week, and even got a stamp of approval from one of history’s most iconic musical acts, the British band Queen. “We never actually expected that we were going to release another single, but the virus is getting longer and longer so we thought we need another summer song. We thought we needed another summer number, and ‘Butter’ was perfectly fit for that. And now we’re here,” BTS’ leader RM told Apple Music. The Response: Fans were absolutely thrilled by the news.

"Side step, right, left to my beat
High like the moon, rock with me, baby
Know that I got that heat
Let me show you 'cause talk is cheap
Side step, right, left to my beat
Get it, let it roll"#BTS_Butter pic.twitter.com/Tftt9PmnqA— ʟʏɴɴ⁷⟭⟬⟬⟭ slow (@whalienlynn) May 21, 2021
