Chinese man banned from “all you can eat buffet”

What happened: A Chinese food vlogger/blogger claimed that he had been blacklisted from a buffet restaurant for overeating. In his two collective visits, Mr. Kang had eaten nearly two kilograms of pork trotters and 4 kilograms of prawns. Details: Mr. Kang has alleged that the restaurant has shown discriminatory behavior against people who eat a lot in his interview. He is quoted by a publication saying, “ I can eat a lot, is that a fault? ” On the other hand, the restaurant owner had said, “ Every time he comes here, I lose a few hundred yuan. Even when he drinks soy milk, he can drink 20 or 30 bottles. And usually, people use tongs to pick prawns, but he uses a tray to take all his prawns. ” However, the restaurant owner has banned all food bloggers from the restaurant.

What you need to know:   China’s president earlier in 2020 had urged his citizens to eat less as the country fought against food waste. Xi Jinping had said, “ Fight against food waste amid rising concerns over food shortages. ”
