Dear Dada, it’s not the same anymore

Disclaimer : The following is a work of satire. Follow the author, H. Ghaznavi here on Twitter. Dear Dada, It’s been a while since I’ve written to you. In the current scheme of things it seems funny that I should reach out. Magar woh hamari aur wardi kai is anhokay piyar ko kahan samjhay gain. I still remember my first day bringing you a glass of water, slightly scared of you, you were not a pretty sight to behold afterall – app say kiya jhoot bolna. But my dad said, be a diligent servant and you will truly reach places. Didn’t expect that to be Adiyala, but I didn’t think I would end up in Saudia either so what do I know. Those were the days indeed, me by your side, you in your freshly pressed Khakis and the whole country loathing us but unable to do anything about it. Ahh yess those were the days. I miss being close to men in uniforms, I genuinely thought I had a knack for it until I clearly didn’t. Yours truly still (if you’ll have me) – N. Sharif
