Cheesecake is a rich and creamy dessert that consists of a crust typically made from crushed cookies or graham crackers and a filling made from cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and various flavorings. It can be baked or chilled, and it is known for its smooth and velvety texture. On the other hand, a Japanese jiggly cheesecake has a unique texture that is soft, light, and airy. It has a tender and moist crumb that melts in your mouth. The cake rises high during baking and then deflates slightly, giving it a characteristic jiggle and a cotton-like consistency. Uncle Tetsu, originally opened in Japan in 1990, finally made its way to Pakistan, with its unique and delicious Japanese cheesecake in 2019. The outlets are known for their warm red-and-white interiors and open-space kitchens, which allow customers to see the desserts being made.
Uncle Tetsu’s cheesecakes are steam-baked to perfection, with a cotton soft & fluffy texture, rich flavor & the iconic jiggle. The cheesecake itself isn’t heavy at all and has a slightly eggy flavor. So if you’re really into such desserts, this cheesecake is for you. The cheesecake comes in 3 different flavors (original, chocolate, and strawberry). My personal favorite is definitely the original one since it has the most authentic and rich flavor of cheese. Other than that, the eatery has a designated drinks menu including an array of different caffeinated beverages.
To conclude, Uncle Tetsu is a must-visit for those who want to try something unique and different. Let us know if you have tried their famous jiggly cheesecake.
