What happened: On the 28th of December, the sub-campus of Faisalabad Agricultural University has issued a dress code for their students. The principal of UAF, Dr. Nisar Ahmad, stated that the male students are not allowed to wear shorts, fitted or ripped jeans. At the same time, the principal has also barred students from wearing trousers, T-shirts, sandals, bandanas, and bracelets. Details: On the other hand, the female students are barred from wearing T-shirts with jeans, sleeveless shirts, see-through and tight dresses. The notice quoted by Dawn also read that the female students are not allowed to put on heavy make-up, flashy jewelry, and anklets. What else: It is pertinent to mention that earlier, the Federal Directorate of Education had issued a directive for dress codes that are to be implied at different universities across Pakistan. In September, the Federal Directorate of Education had barred female teachers from wearing jeans and T-shirts and imposed another dress code.
