Family of the cinematographer who Alec Baldwin ‘mistakenly’ shot sues the actor

What happened: Family of Halyna Hutchins, the cinematographer who was  mistakenly  shot by the actor Alec Baldwin on the sets of Rust, has sued the actor, alleging that Rust’s movie producer and the actor himself for  “Callously disregarding in the face of safety complaints leading directly to Hurchins death.”  The lawsuit was announced at a news conference by the attorneys of Halyna Hutchin’s husband as Time reported,  “Alec Baldwin refused training for the type of cross-draw he was performing when he fired shot that killed her(Hutchins).”

Details: On the other hand, Alec Baldwin’s attorneys have responded to the lawsuit and noted that Baldwin was not reckless and such a claim is entirely false.   Whereas, Halyna’s husband filed the lawsuit at the New Mexico’s Santa Fe Country, and the suit also highlighted an exchange of text messages between the camera operator and producer in which Times reported,  “A complaint about gun safety was met with what the suit calls a callous sarcasm.”

More:   However, it is pertinent to mention that this is the fourth lawsuit filed against the movie, but this is the only one involving both actor and producer. At the same time, the attorney’s representing the case said,  “Reckless conduct and cost-cutting measures led to the death of Halyna Hutchins.”
