A story surfaced in a local Urdu newspaper claiming the arrest of two men for transporting 185 kg worth of dead frogs that were to be sold in restaurants in Lahore.
Pictures of the men in question along with a sack of frogs surfaced on Twitter, and before long the topic was trending.
Allegedly, the frogs were to be used in shawarmas and burgers. Of course, many memes and jokes ensued.

However, the tale has since been proven to be partly untrue. According to Samaa News, the frogs were to be sold to medical universities for use in laboratories, and the men were stopped because the frogs were thought to be a rare species. The men were only held for a short period of time before being discharged.
