Germany has given the green light for human trials to start for the Covid-19 vaccine.
The vaccine has been developed by the German biotech company BioNTech which is one of the many companies working on developing a vaccine against the pandemic. The trial The trial will be conducted on 200 people with more subjects who are higher-risk being added in the second stage. BioNTech is developing four vaccine candidates under a programme named BNT162 with its partner, pharma giant Pfizer. This is the fourth trial that is being conducted to fight Covid-19. China also began its human trials last week after having approved two vaccines for testing. The American-based company Moderna also began trials in March.
