What happened: UK police are in search of a couple who ate twelve burgers under six minutes and refused to pay the 174-pound bill, claiming that “they had completed an eating challenge.” The UK couple visited a burger shop named Bite Me Burger in Malbrough and asked the management if they could do its burger challenge. However, the staff explained to the couple that the challenge was not currently available but served them the twelve burgers.
Details: Subsequently, WalesOnline reported, “The couple ordered twelve burgers and, after eating them, refused to pay, saying they had completed the challenge anyway.” Whereas, the restaurant staff claimed that they owe 174 pounds as the staff earlier noted that the challenge was not available at the time.
More: At the same time, the restaurant owner said, “I rang them(couple) and said, look you owe me this money, please come back and pay it and they hung up on me, after saying they were going to staff off the restaurant on social media.” On the other hand, the UK police are now on the lookout for the couple who defrauded the burger place and released their CCTV footage.
