Being a sucker for beef steak, I am always on a quest to find places serving good quality steak at an affordable price. Steaks are pretty common nowadays especially after Eid-ul-Azha and many people have asked me for steak recommendations. Recently, I visited Bovinoes Steak House in DHA Phase 4 and Gauchos in Gulberg, Lahore. Both places are well reputed steakhouses making fresh beef steaks since quite a while. After a lot of suggestions, I decided to try both of them. At Bovinoes, the rib eye steak was really dry and overcooked. The sides were also pretty small and the whole dish wasn’t well balanced. I’m a sides person as much as a steak one, so for me it was a bit underwhelming. At Gauchos, the cook on my T-bone steak was divine and the side portions were generous as well. However, the veggies could have been crunchier as it seemed like they spent a little too long in that steamer basket. However, keeping everything in consideration, I believe that the whole point of having a steak is to enjoy that medium rare, succulent piece of meat, and this cannot be compromised. So clearly, the winner was Gauchos for its great service as well as a great meal. Have you tried steak from either of these two places? Let us know in the comments.
