What Happened: Aleema Khan claimed her brother Imran Khan is being harshly treated to prevent him from addressing an upcoming public meeting, with limited access for family and delays in his bail case.
What you need to know: Aleema Khan, Imran Khan’s sister and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has claimed that her brother is being treated harshly as part of a punishment related to the £190 million case. She said that the Khan family is facing difficulties visiting Imran, with only a few people allowed to see him.
What more: This is allegedly because of concerns about an upcoming public meeting on September 8, which they fear might cause issues. On Friday, only Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz were permitted to visit Imran while other PTI leaders had to wait outside.
Also: Aleema also mentioned that their bail application for the Toshakhana case was not processed because the prosecution was unprepared, and the judge postponed the hearing to Monday.
