Pakistan’s national tally of coronavirus has now risen to 31, with cases reported in Sindh and Islamabad. On Saturday evening, Prime Minister Imran Khan made his first public statement on the pandemic via twitter. In his tweet, Imran Khan said, “I am personally overseeing measures to deal with COVID 19.” The Prime Minister also said he will address the nation soon. In line with what WHO and the government has been saying, Khan stated, “While there is a need for caution there is no need for panic.” In a continuation of the tweet, Khan said WHO had commended Pakistan’s efforts to combat coronavirus as being amongst the best in the world.
I want to inform the nation I am personally overseeing measures to deal with COVID 19 & will address the nation soon. I would advise people to follow safety instructions issued by our govt. While there is a need for caution there is no need for panic.
