Indian Media Reports That Indians Have Smaller Brains

Indian media has reported that Indians have smaller brains in comparison to other Eastern and Western populations According to researchers at the International Institute of Information Technology in Hyderabad who created the first Indian Brain Atlas, the standard template used to study illnesses cannot be used to analyse brain differentiation in the Indian population. The Montreal Neurological Institute template was created using Caucasian brains, which are larger than Indian brains. This led to the creation of the Indian Brain Atlas, which will help improve diagnoses as it is more personalised to the population.
