What happened: On Feb 18, journalist, Ayesha Binte Rashid (@balancingbinte) took to her Instagram account where she posted a few screenshots of messages exchanged with Pakistani band, Noorie’s Ali Noor (@thisisalinoor) in which she accused the singer of sexual harassment.

Details: In her messages, Ayesha called out Noor as she called him a ‘sexual harasser and predator.’ She mentioned the other half of Noorie band, Ali Hamza (@alihamzamusic) and drummer, Kami Paul (@kamipaulofficial) where Ayesha claimed that Noor threatened her with putting an end to her friendship with Paul, “I told Kami about what you did and then ended my friendship with him because I have no interest in having people in my life who fraternize with harassers.”
Ali Noor’s account: Replying to the journalist from his wife, Mandana’s phone as she blocked him, Ali Noor messaged Ayesha, ‘thanking’ her for a ‘serious wake-up call’ and realisation as he claimed he was ‘devastated’ to see the mirror. After he asked Ayesha to unblock him, she said that just to ‘assuade’ his guilt more, she forgives him, “I’m more and more indifferent to you. But when you message me like this and don’t respect my boundaries, the trauma is just refreshed for,” requesting Noor to let her be.
Ali Noor’s letter: Tagging Ayesha in his letter, ‘Dear Nano,’ which she termed a ‘nonsense’ apology, Ali Noor took to his Instagram story where he announced the release date of his new single ‘Maine Chorh Diya’ and claimed that the journalist didn’t share all the screenshots and ‘that’s just sad,’ “I even suggested to be h*ng and exec*ted publicly,” says Noor. The singer further said that this is ‘no PR ploy to promote a new single,’ “Newspapers are calling and I don’t mind being called the worst person on earth. But people around me are getting concerned and hurt. This is pissing me off,’ as he says this needs to be addressed.
