Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi has said that he would do anything to stop the release of Sarmad Khoosat’s upcoming film Zindagi Tamsha. He said “the film will release over my dead body.”
Khadim Rizvi, while addressing the party workers and supporters at Faisal Chowk on the occasion of Kashmir Day, said “we will not let the film Zindagi Tamasha release and will do whatever it takes to make sure it does not see the light of day.” He further asked the government authorities, Zindagi Tamasha’s team, and those who are supporting the release of the film to ‘do whatever they can’ but the film will release over his dead body. Earlier on January 28, the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) had set up a four-member committee that would review the film.
What does the banning of Zindagi Tamasha say about Pakistan? Then movie which by the looks of it’s trailer seems to be on a maulvi, has bee banned before it’s release. The Islamic lot has put pressure and the both the Singh and Punjab govt has said the movie won’t be released. Why is this? Why does the govt always bows down to these Islamic goons. Isn’t this the suppression of freedom of expression. A movie which no one has seen, which got clearance from the censor board, has been declared blasphemous because a bearded powerful man thinks so!
