What you need to know: The post claimed that Salar had sexually harassed women and used his influence to threaten them. The post contains screenshots showing the singer’s conversation with 3 different individuals who have come forward with accounts of harassment. ProperGaanda has not been able to verify the authenticity of the screenshots independently.
Salar’s response: In a live Instagram session, Salar denied the allegations using explicit and crass language, stating his privileged lifestyle, studying at Aitchison and foreign education meant he had “better options than to harass anyone”. The singer’s response further enraged the audience and he later apologized for his live session and posted screenshots of his friends and brothers speaking out in his support.
What’s next: As of now, it is not known whether the victims will approach the authorities with their allegations.
