Maryam Nawaz was sent back to Kot Lakhpat jail early in the morning from Services Hospital Lahore “despite being unwell”, according to a PML-N spokersperson Maryam was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday night following her meeting with her unwell father, right after the Punjab government granted her request to do so. Nawaz had been admitted late Monday night on demand of his personal physician, and he was shifted from the NAB building to Services Hospital.
“After an hour-long meeting between the father and the daughter, the hospital administration offered her check-up at the hospital because she had not been feeling well for the last few days,” said a source.
Maryam reportedly accepted the offer, and doctors then conducted blood tests which led to the start of her treatment late at night. According to Marriyum Aurangzeb, when Maryam was taken back to jail she had been experiencing high blood pressure and her heart rate had been abnormal. Aurangzeb also alleged that Maryam’s medical reports were not being given to her children or her personal physician, and that “taking Maryam to jail in this way was another attempt to bring mental agony to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif”.
