McDonald’s is now offering its employees childcare support amongst other benefits

What happened: In attempts to attract employees, McDonald’s in the US is offering emergency childcare support to its employees. There are reports that McDonald’s could also be offering eldercare, wage and benefits workshops, and tuition assistance in order to boost hiring. Details: Fast-food workers have been especially struggling since the start of the pandemic and now that things are slowly returning to normal they are harnessing their collective power to bargain better working incentives from employers.
