What happened: On February 1, a new medical report of the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was submitted to the Lahore High Court, advising the former PM against traveling due to his health condition. The medical report authored by Dr Fayaz Shawal disclosed, “If Nawaz Sharif returns to Pakistan without undergoing a definitive treatment in London, the stress of living again in solitary confinement can further compromise his cardiac status.”
Details: Subsequently, Dr Fayaz highlighted that the loss of Nawaz Sharif’s partner and his return to the country in his current health condition could compromise his cardiac status. At the same time, according to the medical report, “He(Nawaz Sharif) should go for routine walks in open fields as well as stress-free physical activity.” Further highlighting the health condition of Nawaz Sharif, the report read, “His co-morbidities make him a high-risk candidate for health, respiratory failure.”
More: The three-page medical report was submitted by Advocate Amjad Pervez and the director of the interventional cardiology department at the Adventist Healthcare White Oak Medical Centre in the US, Dr Fayaz Shawl. The medical report’s author further shared his opinion, “Until he undergoes coronary angiography, he should stay in close proximity to the facilities where he has been getting his treatment and the Covid-19 pandemic ends.”
