Most Hindus believe, to be Indian one has to be a Hindu

What happened: The Pew Research Center in Washington conducted a survey through nearly 30,000 face-to-face interviews in India from 2019-2020. The results of the survey concluded that majority of Hindus in India believe that one must be a Hindu and speak Hindi to be truly Indian. Details: Also the report includes data on how more Indian Hindus than Indian Muslims think that the partition was good for Hindu-Muslim relations. For most Hindus, the report states, national identity is tied in with the politics of the ruling government party, Bharatiya Janata Party. Most support for the party comes from Indian Hindus, as comparatively Indian Hindus support the party more than Indian Muslims. Most Indians, as per the survey, also stay in their own religious circle when socialising. Hindus are friends with mostly Hindus, Muslims with mostly Muslims, Sikh with mostly Sikhs and so on. This exclusivity also manifests in neighborhoods. Most neighborhoods are predominantly based on one religion. Click here to see more from Propergaanda.
