Multan Sultans win their first game on home soil, defeating Zalmi by 6 wickets!

The international cricket has returned to the city of saints, Multan, after a long tenure of 12 years, in the form of HBL Pakistan Super League edition 5. Multans Sultans faced Peshawar Zalmi in Multan Cricket Stadium. Winning the toss, Sultans opted to bowl first, which actually proved a useful decision for them. They easily pressurized the opposition with their bowling attack and took early wickets. Peshawar Zalmi were just at 88 runs, having lost 5 wickets after their 11 overs. From the Sultans bowling attack, Sohail Tanvir bagged 4 wickets with 3.71 economy rate. M. Irfan and the young M. Ilyas took 2 each, while Shahid Afridi and Imran Tahir, each sent 1 batsman home. The Multan Sultans team also lost 4 wickets while chasing down the target, having lost Vince alongside Moeen Ali, who once again to get off-the-mark. Skipper Shan also went back to pavilion with just 8 runs, followed by Zeshaan Ashraf. Four wickets down, a winning partnership between Rilee Rossouw (49 not-out) and Khushdil Shah (43 not-out) easily chased down 124 runs in the 15th over.
