Nawaz Sharif is the most popular leader across Pakistan, reveals Gallup’s survey

What happened: Findings of an opinion survey by Gallup Pakistan conducted from December 22 to January 31 disclosed that the former Prime Minister is 58% popular in Punjab and dip in Nawaz’s popularity in Sindh that is 51%. At the same time, Nawaz Sharif led the popularity ratings as 46% in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; on the other hand, Imran Khan came 2nd on the popularity list.

Details: The current PM ranked second on the popularity list in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 46% and third in Sindh with 33%. The opinion survey was drafted after 5000 Pakistanis were asked their views. Subsequently, The News quoted the development,  “In the case of Nawaz Sharif, his approval ratings increased from 33% to 46% and of Shehbaz Sharif rose from 31% to 433% in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.” 

More: On the other hand, 33% approved the current Prime minister and 24% supported Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Whereas, it is pertinent to mention that Gallup Pakistan noted,  “This was the first time that the popularity of the former PMLN prime minister rose after December 2017 and Nawaz Sharif managed similar ratings as that of Shehbaz Sharif.”
