Nestlé Pakistan and PRCS Join Hands to Provide Clean Drinking Water to Flood-Affected Families

Access to clean drinking water remains one of the biggest challenges for communities impacted by the recent floods in Pakistan. Responding to this urgent need, Nestlé Pakistan has donated 63,000 liters of NESTLÉ PURE LIFE to the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), under its employee volunteer program, Nestlé Cares.

The contribution was made possible through a voluntary donation drive by employees, matched 1:1 by the company. Speaking about the initiative, Jason Avanceña, CEO, Nestlé Pakistan, said:“Our contribution to PRCS is a result of an internal voluntary donation drive by employees under our Nestlé Cares program, that was matched 1:1 by the company. Staying true to our values of being a force for good, Nestlé and its employees care deeply for the communities affected by floods, and we believe we have an essential role to play during times of crisis.”

Earlier this year, Nestlé Pakistan had already mobilized 300,000 liters of clean drinking water and 200,000 glasses of milk in collaboration with NDMA and provincial authorities for flood relief.

Abaidullah Khan, Secretary General PRCS, expressed gratitude: “We are deeply grateful to Nestlé Pakistan for their generous contribution. This donation will go a long way in supporting our efforts to alleviate the suffering of those affected by these disastrous floods.”

The initiative falls under Nestlé’s Creating Shared Value philosophy, with Nestlé Cares giving employees an active role in supporting underprivileged communities.
