Netflix won’t be financing Johnny Depp’s latest ‘La Favorite’

What happened:  After Johnny Depp won ten million dollars in compensatory damages against Amber Heard on June 1, in a recent statement, Netflix claimed that the Hollywood star’s latest French project,  La Favorite,  won’t be financially backed by the company. Quoting insiders from the Netflix Variety wrote,  “Netflix is not financing the movie but has licensed the film to stream in France only after it completes the country’s 15-month theatrical window.”  Also:  However, Johnny Depp’s French project stars him as  French King Louis XV Mon Roi,  and it was directed by the filmmaker Maiwenn.
