Farhad Humayun, lead vocalist and drummer of Pakistani rock band, Overload, recently uploaded a status on Facebook stating that he will be taking a sabbatical from the music scene due to his recent diagnosis of a brain tumour. The diagnosis was made two weeks ago after he suffered a seizure. The musician has stated that he has found, ‘the greatest surgeon in the world’ to operate on his tumour. https://www.facebook.com/farhadhumayunoverload/photos/a.109706975781092/1898046256947146/?type=3&theater While calling on his fans and loved ones for prayers, Humayun remained positive throughout his message and has vowed to persevere. He recalls his musical triumphs, such as performing with the greatest musicians and artists in the world and thanks his family for their never-ending support. Humayun’s band, Overload is widely regarded as the ‘loudest band in Pakistan’ by critics and rightly so. The iconic band has released two studio albums and two live albums since it’s inception, with chart topping numbers like ‘Dhamaal’ and ‘Cursed’. We wish Humayun good health and await his return so he may give us more hits like ‘Nimmi Nimmi’.
