Pakistani Government Writes Letter To British Authorities Seeking Nawaz Sharif’s Return

The government of Pakistan has written a letter to British authorities seeking the return of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif after he left the country seeking medical treatment.

During an ARY talk show titled “Power Play”, it was revealed that the Pakistani government has written a letter to the British government seeking the return of Nawaz Sharif after the completion of his medical treatment in the United Kingdom. The former Prime Minister and PML-N supremo is facing multiple charges in various cases in Pakistan and has also been convicted in one case. The letter explains all of this to UK authorities. Nawaz Sharif left for London via air ambulance to seek medical treatment for his low platelet levels on November 19th. He was accompanied by his brother Shahbaz Sharif and his personal physician Dr Adnan. Previously, the Lahore High Court had granted Nawaz Sharif permission to leave the country on medical grounds for four weeks without the submission of any indemnity bond as proposed by the federal government. A two-member bench headed by Justice Ali Baqir Najafi ordered the federal government to remove Nawaz Sharif’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL) without placing any conditions. The bench further maintained that the duration of his visit should be extended if his health required it.
