‘Record breaking’: Alert issued after Pakistan experiences another heatwave 

What happened:  Pakistan’s Meteorological Office has issued another alert regarding Pakistan’s soaring temperatures and has predicted that the temperatures are likely to remain high throughout the country. MET Office, while issuing the alert, stated,  “Day temperatures in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Sindh and eastern Balochistan are expected to rise significantly; above normal.”  Details:  Pakistan is not just going through a heatwave but has also been facing severe load shedding in different parts of the country. However, the temperature will remain  significantly  high during the week, but  “Occasional dust storm/dust raising winds may also occur in afternoon/evening during the period.”  Whereas, doctors have advised the citizens and daily commuters to take precautions by having fluids throughout the day.
