What happened: On January 7, a passenger identified as Taza Khan was arrested for carrying a kilo of heroin to his Saudi Arabia flight. The Anti-Narcotics Force discovered the heroin hidden in Taza Khan’s luggage. The passenger was to board a Ryadh-bound flight before being taken into custody by ANF. What else: Earlier in 2019, the Anti-Narcotics Force seized 925 grams of crystal methamphetamine from a passenger travelling to Riyadh via Islamabad International Airport. The passenger was identified as Faizur Rehman and he hailed from Mardan. Rehman had hidden ice in frozen fruits cans. While in 2018, another Riyadh-bound passenger was arrested for attempting to smuggle 2.6 kilograms of heroin disguised in pills and he was identified as Khalas Taj.
