Supermarket in Finland tests hands-free door handles on refrigerators

The Finnish energy company Fortum is testing hands-free door handles in supermarkets to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

“The handle with care” – Fortum The handles will be tested in Helsinki in supermarkets.   Fortum’s vision is that this unique handle will allow people to open the doors of refrigerators in supermarkets without touching them with their hands. People will be able to open the doors with their forearms instead which will reduce the transmission of the virus through surface contact. These hands-free door handles are also quite sustainable because they will be made from recycled plastics. “We are now testing the 3D-printed handles in a real environment for a few weeks. If everything goes as planned, we are ready to expand our production,” said the company’s brand manager.  Read more from Propergaanda: Russian Cosmists planning to resurrect the dead
