Survey reveals: 41% of Pakistanis believe that 2022 will be worse than 2021

What happened:   Gallup International Survey titled  End Of Year Survey 2021  revealed that 41% of the Pakistanis believe that 2022 will be worse than 2021, as 43% thought that they are optimistic about the coming year. Globally, 38% of people believe that 2022 will be better than 2021 and only 28% thought otherwise.  Details: The question asked in the survey was,  “As far as you are concerned, do you think that 2022 will be better, worse or the same as 2021?”  In response, 9% of the Pakistanis believed that 2022 would be the same. On the other hand, 28% of the Pakistanis are  “very happy”  with their lives, as Pakistan remained among the happiest countries compared to its neighbors.

What else: It is pertinent to mention that the net happiness for Pakistan in 2021 was 42% and is 1% short of the global 43%. Whereas, 22% of the Afghan nationals are very happy about their lives, as only 8% of the people living in Afghanistan are unhappy.
