What happened : A KMC staff member posted in Landhi, who was suspended over corruption complaints, had his salary stopped. He visited the office and he embraced a senior officer of the Human Resource department and later informed that he was Covid positive, causing a massive uproar in the KMC head office. All floors of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) building were disinfected and sanitized after the entry of a Covid positive suspended staff member, who hugged a senior official before also greeting others at the administrator’s secretariat. The KMC administration registered a case against him and sent a show-cause notice for violating the Sindh Local Council Servants (Efficiency & Disciplinary) Rules, 1974, sources said.
