A biopic on Wasim Akram is in the works. Titled Akram: An Era , the film released its first teaser which shows this will be a movie for cricket lovers.
The teaser ends with a note that the auditions will open after PSL. The film is being helmed by Addeel Niazi and is being made under 502 Productions and Pomelo Films.
Will the biopic glorify Wasim’s life or will it be a balance of both his flaws and perfections?
Biased biopics are a truth for almost all entertainment industries. The subjects of most biopics emerge as the heroes, and efforts to paint personalities in a positive light often glosses over their struggles and shortcomings.
