The Cantonment Board has started mandatory registration of pet dogs in Karachi

What happened: CBC has notified that under section 119 and the Cantonment Act 1924 pet owners must register their dogs. The form is available for Rs 250, while the registration fee is Rs 2,000 per dog. Details: This decision was taken after a man was severely attacked by a pair of pet dogs. The form includes the name of the dog owner, ID card number, address of the place where the dog is kept, mobile number, email ID, the colour of the dog, breed, sex, and reason behind keeping it.
