PM Abbasi says U.S. relationship not defined by Afghanistan; nukes safe
While speaking at the Council on Foriegn Relations (CFR) think tank on Wednesday, PM Abbasi said Pakistan’s relationship to the US is not defined by the conflict in Afghanistan. He also said there was no question Pakistani nukes were not secure. On a lighter note, he replied to criticism of not wearing a tie to the U.N. meetings by saying: “I went to school in California. So in California, the said you only wear a tie on the day you get marry or you die. (Laughter.) So it’s neither of those events, so. (Laughs.)” Chairman Senate wants Swiss Ambassador to leave Pakistan 
Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani said on Wednesday that the Swiss ambassador should be asked to leave Pakistan because “terrorism was being exported to Pakistan from Swiss soil”. His harsh remarks came after Law Minister Zahid Hamid, on behalf of the foreign minister, made a statement in the house about a ‘Free Balochistan’ poster campaign being run by a designated terrorist organisation — the Balochistan Liberation Army — in Geneva, Switzerland. Musharraf says Zardari behind Benazir Bhutto assassination 
In a video message posted on social media, General Pervez Musharraf claimed former President Asif Ali Zardari had the most to gain from the death of his late wife and former Pakistani PM Benazir Bhutto, stating that “Zardari had put the blame on me”. He also went on to say “There is only one man responsible for the Bhutto family’s demise and his name is Asif Ali Zardari. At least six people, including four women, were killed and 20 others injured near the Working Boundary in Sialkot on Thursday as Indian forces “resorted to unprovoked firing of mortars targeting civilians”, local administration and the army’s media wing said. Lahore High Court orders government to make Model Town inquiry report public 
The Lahore High Court has ordered the Punjab government to make the inquiry into the Model Town killings public. The government has responded by saying it has the prerogative to decide whether to make the report public or not. A full court bench will hear all petitions on the Model Town tragedy on September 25.
