Lahore:
- Al Naseeb burger, Shadman:
This burger place is a consistent lahori favourite, and overall the one most recommended by ProperGaanda’s Lahori readers. Though this burger ‘corner’ is looks humble its taste is anything but that. Their delicious anda-shami burger is known for its generous size and can be found in Shadman.
- Lovely Burger, Anarkali:
This burger is perennial student favourite in Lahore. It’s close to King Edward Medical University, the National College of the Arts, Government College University and other universities. Students come in droves to this pocket friendly and delicious spot. Run by Muhammad Akram, affectionately known as Chacha Jee, it has been serving the hungry students of Lahore for the past 18 years. In this clip from 2018, Chacha Jee reveals that the secret to his burgers is his, nephew, Lovely Beta’s grandmother who made the recipe and still supplies home cooked ingredients to ChaCha Jee.
Karachi:
- Tipu’s Burger, Boat Basin:
Established in 1993 as a small bun kabab stall, Tipu’s legendary burgers soon became the talk of the town and grew into a full scale franchise. Now known as Tipu’s Broast and Burgers, they have multiple locations peppered throughout the city. But the Boat Basin location is our readers’ preference. We’ve been assured that Tipu’s burgers are never dry because they pile on triple the amount of coleslaw as compared to other burgers. And, that their egg is super fluffy and special chutney divine. Tipu’s offers a variety of burgers including traditional Karachi style burgers with daal or potatoes in it.
- Babu Bhai Bun Kabab, Burns Road:
Babu Bhai’s Burgers have been a Karachi mainstay since 1967. And the business itself is even older than that, it was started by Babu Bhai’s father in 1948. Their pillow soft buns and special green chutney are the main draws of the stall.
- Ghaffar Burger, PIB Colony:
Also known as Gaffer Testty Burger on Facebook, this burger joint is serving one of the best burgers around. It’s a popular roadside spot. Seeing how they make their burgers, in the video below, it would be incredibly hard to walk by and not be tempted by that delicious display.
Rawalpindi:
- International Burger, Saddar:
Pindi’s best anday wala burger can be found next to Ciros Cinema. International Burger’s Anda Shami is well known for its spicy kick. It’s a firm favourite with our readers from Pindi who swear you can never go wrong with a burger from International Burger.
Mirpur:
- Basharat Burger: This Mirpur’s most famous burger joint and their anday wala burger is supposed to be great. Reportedly, their egg is cooked to perfection.
