This female lawyer hopes to make Pakistan accessible for differently-abled citizens

What happened: On the 25th of March, 2002, Sana Khurshid met a tragic road accident on the Lahore-Islamabad motorway. The accident paralyzed Sana’s half body but did not shatter her hopes as she continued her studies. Sana Khurshid was fortunate to come out alive from the tragic accident but had lost her sister in the same accident. However, after completing her LLM from the UK, she vowed to make Pakistan accessible for wheelchair-ridden citizens.

Details: On the 22nd of November, she celebrated her birthday and reminded Pakistanis,  “Removing barriers that can help individuals with disabilities get an equal opportunity at life.”  Sana Khurshid is currently helping LDA to implement its facilities which makes the presence of a ramp at the entrance and designated washrooms for the differently-abled citizens.  What you need to know: Sana Khurshid, via her Instagram and Twitter, has empowered the differently-abled citizens of Pakistan. Sana Khurshid is a lawyer and, more importantly, a disability advocate aiming to achieve equal rights for the differently-abled citizens of the country. Her team has also drafted a law that empowers persons with disabilities to reach their maximum level of achievement and independence.
