Turkish man recovers from Covid after 16 months, and 86 PCR tests

What happened: The Turkish man identified as Muzaffer Kayasan, who held the record for the most extended period for any COVID-19 patient in Turkey, has finally defeated the virus, and his months-long quarantine ended after he was tested negative. It is pertinent to mention that Kayasan had, prior to the current Covid test, had 86 positive tests and was seeking a way out of his situation, as his 16 month-long quarantine ended on April 6. Details: First being tested positive for the virus in November 2020, Kayasan was hospitalized and then awaiting to return to everyday life; Kayasan stayed in quarantine for an estimated 16 months. During the time, Kayasan was also unable to get his Covid vaccine. However, DailySabah quotes the development as,  “A father of three told that his negative test has made him very happy.”  More: In his message to the world, Muzaffar Kayasan said,  “Everyone should pay attention to mask, distance and hygiene. Let’s defeat the coronavirus together. I don’t want everyone to wast their 16-months just like the way I did.”
