‘Unbelievable’ Homeless man in Lahore had Rs.4 billion in Swiss banks and he never knew

What happened: At the age of 26, a Swiss bank corporate account was opened in Muhammad Javed’s name at the Credit Sussie in 2003. Javed is credited to be a homeless person and has two Swiss accounts running under his name, which have nearly 4 billion rupees. Surprisingly Javed does not have an account at a Pakistani bank and has neither registered himself with the Federal Board of Revenue. Details: The News quotes the development as,  “In 2003, when first account in his name was opened he was a factory worker earning hardly between Rs200 to Rs300 per day. By then, he did not even ahve a passport which is required to open an account abroad.”  At the same time, in a later year, he tried going to Malaysia but failed because the agent had demanded over a lakh rupees from him.  More: Javed’s interview is quoted by The News as,  “Had I had accounts, I would not have been living at this sewage drain. Instead, I would have been living in an upscale community like DHA.”
