Zalmis fire up for PSL 2020 with Pashto rap

As the biggest cricketing event is creeping closer, Peshawar Zalmi is all fired up with their new pukthoon themed anthem. This Sunday, Peshawar Zalmi dropped their 2020 anthem and it is fire!

The song is titled as Zalmi and perfectly depicts the passion that Zalmis are walking in with.

The music video stars Hania Amir, Mehwish Hayat and a group of Zalmi players featuring Shoaib Malik, Hasan Ali, Wahab Riaz, Imam ul Huq, Kamran Akmal and the very popular Darren Sammy. The song’s vocal credits go to the three member rock band Fortitude, which introduced the genre of Pushto rap in Pakistan.

While the track was on point, the caption was a bit misleading. While Mehwish Hayat and Hania Amir starred in the video, they don’t feature in the song. Fans who were waiting for Hania and Mehwish to drop a rap might be sorely disappointed. The PSL 2020 is set to kick off on February 20 at Karachi’s National Stadium.  To read more about PSL from ProperGaanda: Peshawar Zalmi: The fight for honour
